A first for Quebec frozen foods2012-02-20
EM Agency has produced the 2012 promotional campaign for the Quebec Frozen Foods Association (QFFA). Aiming to promote the frozen food category, the television ad – a first for the Association – features a zany character named George and a new tagline. «We could describe George as an urban fellow, both friendly and good-natured. He embodies the truly modern and versatile qualities of frozen foods – a wide array of choices, for any time of the day» explains Nicolas Joly, Retail Committee Director for the QFFA. Besides television, the campaign includes a contest to win $5,000 of groceries as well as ten $100 grocery gift cards. The QFFA’s website was also completely redesigned to provide participating brands with even greater visibility and to highlight the savings coupon section. In-store support includes themed material, a savings coupon booklet and flyer advertising. «For this campaign, we focused on the group’s strength. By getting together, each participating brand benefits from valuable visibility and an impactful message to promote the frozen food category », explains Alain Tadros, president at EM Agency. February is Frozen Food Month, making this the perfect timing to launch the campaign and to promote deep freezing, the prevailing process for conserving food’s nutritional properties and freshness.
